| In November 2007, Lappe Biathlon
was founded with a vision of returning the sport of biathlon
back to the Northwestern Ontario region. In March 2008, the
club received its article of incorporation as a not-for-profit
organization, at which time the founding members elected its
first Board of Directors. In May 2009, the Board of Directors
opted to change the name of the club to Lake Superior Biathlon,
allowing expansion of its membership to neighboring communities
outside of the Thunder Bay city limits. |

| Daniel, operations manager with Telecom Engineering,
Inc., currently serves on the board of directors as
its President. He began his biathlon career as a
competitor with 2511 LSSR Army Cadets and competed in
the cadet provincials for four consecutive seasons. Upon his return to 2511
in 1998 as a CIC Officer, Daniel became once again
involved in the cadet biathlon program as 2511 unit coach
where he coached cadet athletes up to National
Competition for 5 consecutive years. He was chosen
to be part of the 2005 Manitoba/NWON coaching staff where he
coached the provincial's female composite team for the Cadet National in Comox, BC. In
November 2004, he became certified as a Biathlon Official - Bronze
Level, and three years later as a Community Coach in
Biathlon - Silver level. |

| Becky currently serves on the board of director as
the Secretary. She is very active in the both
biathlon and cross-country skiing where she competes in
all level of competition ranging from Manitoba Cups, NorCam, World Junior Trial,
and the Canadian Biathlon Nationals
in Quebec where she won a bronze medal. |

Timo, an associate professor with Lakehead University,
represents coaches and athletes on the board of directors.
He also serves Lake Superior Biathlon as its Head Coach. Timo began his biathlon and cross-country skiing career in the
1970's where he received numerous awards including being
recognized for Achievements in Sports for cross-country skiing
by the Province of Ontario in 1974, and 1979. Timo competed in
various national and international events in his career where he
won 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals in the Canadian Biathlon
Championship (1982-1986), and was member of the Canadian
National Biathlon Team in 1983. As part of the national
team, he placed 2nd overall in the Shell Cup Canadian
Championship series, and competed in the World Championships, Anterselva, Italy and World Cup, Lahti, Finland.
Along with his vast experience as a competitor in the sport
of Biathlon, Timo is certified as a NCCP Level 2 Coach. |

Carol is an educator with 19 years of teaching experience.
She has two sons, Matt, a AAA level hockey player and Joseph, a
newcomer to biathlon. She joined the board of directors in
March 2009 and currently serves as the fundraising coordinator. |
